All-Purpose Dashi Packet Stock Broth

Easily prepare a deep and rich, yet clean-tasting broth with these all-purpose dashi stock packets. Each stock packet contains natural ingredients (whole dried large-eyed herring, kelp, shrimp, anchovy) that are mixed in a golden ratio to deliver the delicious and rich taste of seafood in your broths. The stock packets are easy to use, making them perfect for cooking beginners, and it can also be used to make a wide range of dishes, such as noodle soup (janchi guksu, kalguksu), fishcake soup (eomuk tang) and various traditional Korean stews (tofu stew, soybean paste stew).

Cooking Instructions

  1. Add 1 stock packet and 700ml of water in a pot.
  2. Cook the broth on high heat and leave the pot lid slightly open. Once the broth starts to boil, turn the heat to low heat level and boil for another 5 minutes.
  3. Depending on your preference, you can adjust the boiling time to achieve different richness level of the stock.
  4. Remove the stock packet and add various ingredients of your choice to complete your soup dish.

Storage Instructions

Once open, make sure to seal the zipper bag tightly and store it in the refrigerator (0 ~ 10°C) away from direct sunlight exposure to retain the taste and fragrance of the ingredients.
