Cooking Instructions

Step 1: Thaw Rice Cakes & Fishcake Noodles

Method 1: In Water

Soak the rice cakes and fishcake noodles in cold water.

  • Soaking the rice cakes in hot water may cause them to break apart
  • Soak the fishcake noodles separately, leaving them in the plastic packaging

Method 2: Thaw Naturally

Leave the rice cakes and fishcake noodles in room temperature or in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.

Step 2: Add Ingredients to a Pan

Pour 280cc (1/2 paper cup) of cold water into a deep pan add in the thawed rice cakes and fishcake noodles.

Step 3: Add the Sauce

When the water starts to boil, add in the sauce. Stir the ingredients with the sauce such that they are mixed well. Cook them at high heat.

  • The fishcake noodles may stick together so be sure to separate them well

Step 4: Add Fishcake Pieces

When the soup comes to a boil and the rice cakes begin floating to the surface, add in the fishcake pieces and leave them to boil for 1-2 minutes more.

  • Do not leave it boiling for too long so as to preserve the soup's clean aftertaste

Step 5: Add Additional Ingredients

Just before turning off the stove, add in cut leek or other additional ingredients to your liking for an even tastier dish.
