ABOUT YARNNAKARN

Yarnnakarn is a small studio in Bangkok, telling stories about passage of time and diversity of human and nature through our contemporary ceramic pieces.

Our local craftsmen create wishful ceramic pieces using experimental techniques and materials. The natural clays are gathered from various locations in Thailand and mixed to our own recipe.

“Still Life” tableware collection is inspired by Daily-Life objects from varied cultures and times. Each piece symbolizes its definition. Our Still-Life collection expresses the relationship between living and non-living begins. Reflecting early humanistic ideals within the present consumer society.

The story of each individual piece is told in details like signature touches and textures ~ slight variations of forms, colors, and textures may occur to become its unique characteristic.

We use non-toxic glazes, and allow each piece to come to being in its own time, temperature, and moisture. Let these pieces find a place in your individual space and story.

Yarnnakarn believes in sustainability and supporting the local community. We continuously explore and experiment new techniques to reduce our impact to the environment.

Facts: Our craftworks undergo the delicate technical process and high-temperature firing. High Temperature Stoneware is a ceramic that offer excellent stability at temperatures exceeding 1200 °C which makes it durable to any weather condition. Moreover, Yarnnakarn tableware have obtained the certification for Food Safety for U.S. Cal Prop 65 and Japan Food Sanitation Act.

Use & Care: Our Tableware is Food-safe and durable for gentle use. Microwave and oven are applicable use with caution, due to the combination of cold food and rapid heating creates heat distribution that might cause crack. Dishwasher-safe with caution, due to the delicate forms. Avoid acids, clean with mild dishwashing soap. Handwash for best care. *Matte glaze items are not scratch resistance.
