Braised Kimchi Stew

Fresh, thick and succulent pork belly slices wrapped in luscious leaves of well-ripened cabbage Kimchi, served in a warm and bubbly stew made with our secret recipe sauce. Kimchijjim (김치찜) or Braised Kimchi Stew, is one of the most comforting dishes one could have during the cold winters of Korea. 

Unlike the usual Kimchi Stew, our stew is served with lesser water so it gives a tastes richer and deeper taste due to our chef's secret sauce. The combination of tender pork belly and soft Kimchi is definitely a dish one would love to have for dinner over a warm bowl of rice.

Our recipe for the broth uses a special secret recipe sauce that our Korean chef has perfected over many years cooking for customers as well as her own children.

Unique Cooking Technique

The technique used ensures that each slab of pork is layered with kimchi and bundled tightly before boiling to bring out the maximum flavour. You may cook it the traditional way of putting it all into the pot and boiling it as well!

What Is Included

- Homemade Kimchi
- Pork Belly Slices
- Homemade Soup Base
- Homemade Broth Base
- Assorted Vegetables and Condiments

Preparation Instructions

Use a kitchen towel to clean off the blood and use a knife to make some cut marks on the pork belly.

Spread out a piece of kimchi, place a piece of pork belly on it and roll it up.

Repeat step 2 until all the pork belly and Kimchi has been used.

Chop up all your vegetables and layer the onions and oyster mushrooms at the bottom of the pot

How To Cook


Place all the Kimchi and pork belly bundles in the pot


Ensure that they're all tightly wrapped and will not loosen while boiling


Pour in the collagen soup, 300ml of water and sauce


Bring to a boil and then simmer for at least 20 minutes


Add in the leek and chilli, cover with a lid and let it boil for another 10 mins on low heat.


Serve and enjoy!

The longer you cook it...

.... the better the flavours will be. Our Braised Kimchi Stew will taste better the longer it is cooked as the flavours will all get absorbed into the pork belly and the oils from the pork will enhance the flavours of the broth.
